Crosscutting research involves novel materials (e.g., multifunctional materials and structures, catalytic materials, hydrogen storage materials, and membrane materials); physical, chemical, and biological processes in enabling hydrogen research; and manufacturing research for large-scale hydrogen production and delivery systems as well as component and system fabrication.
