U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)
The U.S. Coast Guard regulates the safety and security of vessels and maritime facilities, including vessels and facilities involved in hydrogen transport. Coast Guard regulations provide industry with safety, security, and operational standards addressing: deepwater ports, tanker and cargo vessels, liquid bulk cargo, dangerous stores, and hazardous materials. Many standards are based on international conventions. The Coast Guard implements this framework through inspections, permits, orders, penalties, and fines.
